The members of Sprinkler Fitters Local 268 are proud to announce that we have moved into our new facility. It is a 25, 000 square foot building that includes a training center, union meeting hall and union offices. The current building is the result of a four year process that began with the search for a building and ended with the design and building of a new facility that would address the needs of the union and the training department.  (See Pics & Graphics)

 LOCAL 268 GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Local 268 Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006.  It will be held at the Riverside Golf Course, 1210 Larkin Williams Road, in Fenton at 8 am.  The cost is $6.00 per golfer and checks should be made payable to Pat Dolan or Mike Margulis.  Make sure to get your checks to them by September 15, 2006.  Please include the names of your foursome.  There are a limited amount of places so please send your money early and limit your foursome to the sprinkler industry.  If we end up with more golfers than places, we may be able to secure some afternoon tee times; if that possibility works for your foursome make sure to let Mike or Pat know.

Fifth ANNUAL BURN AID TOURNAMENT

The Fifth Annual Burn Aid Tournament on Friday, September 8, 2006 was an overwhelming success. Over $17,500.00 was raised from the tournament and for the fourth year in a row Sprinkler Fitters Local 268 members came up with another $25,000.00 for the Burns Recovered Support Group, sponsor of the Missouri Children’s Burn Camp.

The Tournament is an effort to put Contractors, Suppliers and Members of the Local Union together with Fire Code Officials and to contribute to a very worthwhile cause at the same time. Thank you to all who participated and to those who contributed.  (See Pics & Graphics)

TOYS – 2005

Members of Sprinkler Fitters Local 268 came through again this year with another successful toy collection.  The collection program began four years ago to provide toys to area children in local hospitals at the request of a member whose child had been in the hospital during the Christmas season.  The first year brought in over 750 toys, and each year the members have equaled or surpassed that number.  As the gifts grew in number and size, the local added a few new local organizations as beneficiaries.  Radio Flyer Wagons with pneumatic tires are always a favorite at the hospitals, and this year's collection netted 23 of those wagons.  Bicycles, radio controlled cars and CD players have been added to the mix.  This year, the toys will be distributed to Children's Hospital, Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, Mathews-Dickey Boys Club, the children of two families in cooperation with the St. Louis mayor's office and the children of striking Teamsters at Lohr Distribution Co.  Not all of the toys collected during this year's drive are shown in the photo.  (See Pics & Graphics)

We will be collecting again in 2006.
